Thanks Mike, I know Russ very well :) I was just hoping someone on here is a member of it, as I wish to find the original Reg no of my van when it was part of the GPO fleet in the UK. :)

I would like to find out the chassis no. of my 1963 GPO driving instructors van 65 FUU which I owned many years ago. Did they issue the reg in sequence with the chassis no.?

65 FUU would have serial number U88573 chassis number OJE1/156038

It may be worth getting a Heritage Certificate for it.
It was one of those hybrid models with a 1098 body, large back windows and 8 in front brakes and 803 running gear.
Do you have any other info on it, how many instructors vans were built in that batch etc? I once co incidentaly parked it next to 64 FUU which was an ordinary PO van.

Mike you can always ask BMIHT but I was told that the records for the Morris Minor vans were destroyed in a fire :( so I couldnt get one for my 70 van.

I believe it was the records of the LCVs built at Adderley that were destroyed.
