Care of the elderly

I have an elderly relative who is in need of a satnav to get her to family meetings in far off counties, so to speak. She is still a perfectly capable driver but remembering how to get from Kent to Hampshire and Essex is proving to much for her. She will need something that can be set up to show the bare bones information she needs to avoid confusion. My experience of the things is that you get a 'windows desktop' type choice on startup and this will prove too much of a challenge for her. Any recommendations folks?

Tomtom one is very easy to use and has proved excellent for us
Easy touch screen to input postcode etc and off you go!

I'd go with the basic TomTom too - I've used a few different ones and not only do they seem easier to set up your destination but the maps are clearer in giving directions too. ps I hate computers and don't know how they work so they must be easy to use

Theres a Satnav called TomTom Start. It's selling point is being simple and easy to use. Don't own one myself, so couldn't tell you if it's actually any good, just been looking around for a Satnav lately.

I'd stick to some version of TomTom (isnt that how you spell satnav) my wife has one and she thinks its great although you do need to update it regularly.
