The date for the Series MM seminar will be Saturday 10th April at the Foxcombe Lodge Hotel, Boars Hill, South of Oxford.
The cost will be £15 per head which will cover morning cofee, buffet lunch and afternoon tea. Money in advance please by 3rd April latest. Cheques payable to M. J. Perry, post to 1 Cromer Close, Tilehurst, Reading, Berks RG31 5NR.
If you have any topic which you wish to be discussed please include a note with your cheque so that it can be researched if necessary and included in the program . So far we will be discussing spares and manufacture of obsolete parts, modifications to keep the cars useable, engine tuning and Alta conversions, electrical changes and updating the braking system. We will of course also be discussing originality and the search for those elusive parts. We look forward to seeing you there.

Hello Mike
Is there likely to be a few Series MMs there? Reason I ask I may well pop along and shoot some images for feature(s) for Minor Monthly if that is acceptable to you and you forum?
Thanks

Re: Date for Series MM Seminar
Hopefully there will be a few Series MMs there, particularly local ones although the seminar is more about getting the owners together to discuss the future of the Series MM.

Start time 10.00 for 10.30 to give time for a cup of coffee before we get going.
If anyone requires directions, log on to the Foxcombe Lodge website.

Re: Date for Series MM Seminar
Well, what a lovely day for a gathering of Series MM owners!
The sun shone, the coffee flowed and a fine buffet lunch was supplied to make a great day catching up with other owners from Bolton, Essex, the Netherlands and even Portugal to talk 'MM'
A great day - thankyou![frame]

Thanks to Graham and Mike for a valuable experience. I have a good time between a very friendly seminar visitors.
The MM virus had found a good breeding ground in Boars Hill. And I hope that this (lovely) virus will go on for many years.

Re: Date for Series MM Seminar
Many thanks for a great day. Good company, food and very interesting content.
I'm just making sense of the minutes to post to Mike.
It was all too much excitement for my MM.
I decided to take the M40 and then turn off into unknown territory [for me] aiming for Northampton.
HUT developed a very loud siren - like sound from under the bonnet...
On inspection, water in the bottom of the engine bay and none in the radiator...
Gurus Mike Perry and Cam Shaw confirmed that I needed a lift home.
[Will be trying to remove the water pump later this week].
But, breakdown folk couldn't find me. No reference points to assist them.
I asked if they could track me via my mobile. Which they eventually did.
Very helpful and sensitive guy on the phone. Who even called me to check I had left and that I was ok.
Waiting time was approx 30 mins.
So, compliments to RH Specialist Car Division.

Re: Date for Series MM Seminar
We too enjoyed the day, it was good to put faces to names and generally meet some other MM owners. The 6:30 start from Bolton was worth it!

Re: Date for Series MM Seminar
Mike, Graham,
Sorry for the delay, but the seminar was excellent, a very worth while day.
We had a MMOC committee meeting yesterday, and I could do with the list of spares that we identified so that we can get thing moving in this area over the summer.
Once again thanks for a great day.
