Re: Dipswitch (or dipstick!)
I had a LHD Midget racecar. At first I found myself trying to change gear with the door handle. Sadly, the door handle wasn't connected to the gearbox so I had to improvise[frame]

Re: Dipswitch (or dipstick!)
I'm continually switching from LHD to RHD cars (Always manual in the UK, automatics in Germany ) so I find myself cleaning the windscreen whilst turning left, changing gear with the door handle, left foot in a constant hover mode, sat in passengers seat feeling rather silly, roaring off in first waiting for something to happen and indicating with the wipers.

Re: Dipswitch (or dipstick!)
There was a great thred about this earlier in the year. My particular trick is slipping into fifth gear and.. er back into fourth hoping no one will notice. Violent braking in a modern car is another side effect.
My 10 year old sons friends are completely blown away by the fact that you can remove the key from the ignition and the car still goes. It never fails to impress them!

If that impresses them, just wait until they see it started on the handle!
