Re: New Tv Ad Featuring A Minor
Just seen this advert this evening.
A whitish/light pinkish convertible with four ladies in it, parking in a muddy field and then using diet books placed in the mud to get to out to another part of the field. Like most adverts on TV, I didn't get what the product was that was being peddled. I noticed the car however and the registration number shown on the car is not in a format used in this country. It was smaller than the 1000 bootlid pressing for the English registration format. Like many other adverts on the telly porporting to be of England it will be made in another country where the sun shines. Could be New Zealand, Australia, South Africa or where ever the Minor was sold.
Out of interest has anyone here ever bought something as a result of seeing it advertised on the 'box'? I am struggling to think of any one thing that I have been pursuaded to buy by looking at the TV. I haven't swapped my bank or building society - I don't usually buy 'ladies' products anyway - I haven't considered rushing out to buy sofas, kitchens, furniture, low fat yogurt - shop at certain supermarkets, switch to different newspapers and I certainly haven't purchased a car. Is it me? Am I a hopeless case?
Regards Ian

Re: New Tv Ad Featuring A Minor
I've seen this ad a couple of times now. The number plate is CW07 ***. Can't remember that last three letters but this is definately an '07 british plate just plonked on the car to hide its real identity I think. Perhaps it is just a plate that isn't registered to a car on the road so they used it?
Just J-j-j-jiggle it a bit.

Re: New Tv Ad Featuring A Minor
IIRC it is " CW 07 KZV "
Which is not registered to a Morris (or indeed to any other modern mainstream car from Alpha to Volkswagen)
The CW part is IIRC related to Bangor? In which case most of my cars should have CW plates
