There were a few Highway Yellow convertibles at the National rally this year, and very nice they looked too (I lurve Highway Yellow), not sure I've ever seen a saloon in this colour in real life though.

Snowdrop - 1967 4 Door Saloon
it wasnt a very popular colour. produced october 1961 to mid 1962, so all had 948cc and blue duo tone upholstery. Didnt make any travellers in the colour though. interesting that they discontinued it and brought in trafalghar blue!!!!
Prior to seeing the convertible at the National last year I had seen a couple of 4 doors and one 2 door previously, and I believe there was another on Jersey that has now gone to a better place

Probably not! For a start all four-door 1000s were deluxe anyway so that rules out quite a few but you could still get the standard option on the 2-doors and convertibles.

The convertible in the picture is a standard, the lack of over-riders on the bumper give it away, although a different bumper could have been used if the original got damaged at sometime.
The other thing about the convertible is the D reg plate, it hints that the car is older than the body would suggest as it has the proper sidelights for a car produced in ’61 / ’62.
Very nice colour, certainly one I’ve never seen on the road, and there was me thinking Pale Ivory was rare.

That car got me thinking too, it has the correct lights and also correct wipers for a 61-62 car also the DVLA says it has a 948 so it must just be registered late. Here is the interior of said convertible VV I think it is slightly too dark to be the original but it is probalby made in the original style.
