Just try the usual Mini suppliers - Minisport or Minispares etc etc. Some may have special deals on - so check em all out!

Honestly - don't know of any to 'avoid'. just look for the best deal! What size do you need - standard - or oversize ?
Suggestion from The Miniforum is to try www.minisport.com.au
Seems to depend if you get charged import duty on them - or not! Seems to be a 50/50 strike rate - folks who have been charged -and folks who didn't.
Miniforum also reports various sets on ebay - have you looked?

Try these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mini-998-flat-top ... 35a61721c2
Good price at the moment.

And these may be worth a punt - already on the con-rods http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/mini-1000cc-conro ... 3ca8e6a04c

You would need to investiagte these very carefully - he is talking rubbish in the advert - obviously has no clue. They are certainly NOT 'Cooper' - may not even be 998! Ask him for some sizes! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MINI-PISTONS-DISH ... 2a03c3ba6c

Otherwise NEW pistons seem to be about £40 EACH - which seems a LOT!

If its the block I'm thinking about I'm still waiting for a crank from BM to rebuild my transplant now supposedly mid Jan. I do however think that it may require a rebore (considerable) judging by the amount of oil its currently using
