ch reg cars kennings derby?or fa burton cars? old dealers
just wondering if any more cars survive that were delivered from the old derbyshire motors/kennings derby? ch was the derby mark mine is a vch, i know of two uch reg cars. Any fa burton reg cars? interesting how many old big dealers there was that supplied minors back in the day, some big names like kennings that sadly no longer exist. Bradburn and wedge was another big morris minor supplier in wolverhampton, lot of there cars carried re plates!

Kennings was the main Derby BMC dealer but Major and Barnes of Burton Road were a dealer supplying CH and RC reg number cars, plus Repton Garage was also a local BMC dealer but may have supplied with Derbyshire numbers. RA, RB, NU, etc
The company I worked for in Derby had many grey Morris 1000 vans and travellers supplied up to H reg. The last Minor being a J reg pickup. A guy who worked for me had a pristine Minor van which was LCH or LRC***K which I believe still exists.

Thanks for that info busguy, I hadnt realised there was another supplier in derby. My cars 1st owner on its paper log book was derbyshire motors in derwent street derby, heritage centre confirmed my car was despatched to kennings of derby which was situated in derwent street, bit puzzled as to whether that was the garage name just prior to kennings taking it over or whether it was another company? Could have been a dealer demo?
