Well it has been sunny most of the week here in Leicester but there are a few flakes of snow in the air this morning - forecast is sunny but cold for tomorrow when I hope to take the Minor to Ruddington Transport Heritage Centre who are having a classic gathering - apparently they are now having one on the first Sunday of every month

Don't worry Summer is comingborderblue wrote:I think i would rather have the rain,i feel like a prisoner cause we are snowed in and are running low on rations.

One of the biggest headaches is the inept manner in which so many road users handle the conditions. I don't mind going out but I'd prefer the roads to myself.
I have to say I prefer mild (Even damp) Winters and hot dry Summers. I'd also like to buy a winning Lottery ticket but you can't have everything.

Went out and took the head off Milly this morning.
1/4" frost on everything here. but nice and warm in my old work clothes and having nicked a pair of gloves from my van, hands not too cold either.

Had a great day to-day above zero (+0.4 Celcius) day or night for the first time since before Christmas forecast is 10 below tonight again with more snow for the next 3 days. Helped my neighbour dig his UNO through 350 yards of deep snow to get to the main road. The last 100 yards of which Matilda the Minor has been sailing through on a daily basis (his heater works tho')

Very true BM. I am coming to your neck of the woods on the 14th so hopefully the weather will improve by then.
Here are some photos of my snowed up Morris in Inverness, bear in mind I have already cleared 8in of snow off last Tuesday and there is at least as much again. I am glad I kept it on stands, although I shouldn't have been so lazy about fitting the cover.

Here is our Christmas Tree - sorry about the angle - this was they only way I could get it all in the picture.

Here is a more peaceful one taken a few weeks back on my travels to Skye

I took a look at that picture and couldn't believe my eyes. I thought you had a great big pile of LP917's then I realised they were plant pots!

Its been fantastic clear blue skies here for the last few days, but black ice on the smaller forest roads that stay in the shade...i had a couple of "slides" yesterday, glad Ive now got radials rather than the crossplys!.
Icy again tonight so the drive to work tomorrow will be interesting.
