The vehicle details for HCT 321E are:

Date of Liability 01 07 2003
Date of First Registration 01 06 1967
Year of Manufacture 1967
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 948CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour GREY

It's been off the road since 2003 but is not on SORN.
Also it seems a bit strange that it would be built in 1967 but have a 948 engine :-?

The very first thread in section tells you how to do this! And yes - it is wrong engine size for age of car - it 'may' be hiding in a barn - but I doubt it............

Yes - I see that now. So - if engine number begins with '10' - then it's the correct 1098 engine - and NOT a 948! Until you register your ownership of it with DVLA it remains immune from SORN. Once they know about it (and you) they will never let go! You will need to SORN it annually.
