metro 1000 cylinder head

Post by ssnjimb »

Hello

I am bidding on a metro 1000 cylinder head.

It does not have a bypass hose.

How do i plug the bypass outlet on the water pump.

Jamie

You don't. You need to chage the pump for the later matching item without bypass hose.

I bought a bypass hose-less water pump (new in box unfitted) by mistake a while back if you win the head you can have it for a fiver + postage...... I've just got to find where I stashed it

Or - just plug the bypass hose. Use the solid wall hose - put a bolt in the top - with clip around. It's fine - but the new pump for a fiver is a good deal! What engine is this going on ?

Well - what sorts! It will be fine on a 948 - but power loss if used on a 1098. Don't pay more than ~£10 - in fact £5 is better - these heads (and engines!) are given away free at times!
