Just thought i'd say hi...

Post by Alex'n'Ane »

Hi All,
I've been reading up on here for a while now, but thought i'd better introduce myself. My name is Alex and and am the proud owner of Anne, a '64 trafalgar blue 2 door saloon.
She's my first car since i'm 17 and only passed my test a few months ago. In the past year or so i've owned her i've overhauled the brakes and done some work on the interior, fitting new carpets, a radio and the such.

Currently she is pretty much standard, but will hopefully be looking to upgrade her gradually, in the power and braking department.
Looking forward to your views and opinions on the matter. Alex

Welcome. Your mates will have Euro Boxes and will take the mickey out of you. Just remember, you have a proper car that, with a little care, will still be running when you are a grandpa.
Enjoy and folk here will help with all queries.

Welcome aboard - nice looking car. That model should have the larger 8" front brakes already - if so - in good condition they should be perfectly adequate for normal motoring. Worry more about getting the car through the next MOT - rather than upgrades!

Hi, and welcome! Both my brother and I started with a Morris. I've had mine for 13 years now and won't be quitting any time soon I hope. I have kept mine pretty standard in the running gear, only adding heated screens and alternator, halogen lights etc but he is gradually working through the list of mods!! You will get addicted and possibly possibly pick up another one or two along the way :o

Welcome Alex to all things Morris Minor, you've joined a great bunch of people who are so friendly and helpful, just ask anything and you wil get first rate advice. I'm relatively new to the fold with my first car and wish I had taken the plunge years ago.

Great car you've got there, hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.

Peter

Hellooooooo.. Welcome to the forum! Remember it's your car, so it's up to you really. If you were to go down the mod route, keep it sympathetic with the styling. Then if you did want to sell your market is larger and not niche. But that's my opinion, I prefer originality.

Nice choice of car. :D
