No.You are stuck with mgf or triumph.
16" mgf won't fit the front either.

i am going to fit the minor hub caps so the car does not look "too" modified but still has the wider tyre and hence better grip. but yes I have to agree they are not particularly pretty

first how do you fit hub caps to the space saver wheels? also if i get some mgf wheels, what else do i need? ????? thanks guys

if you get mgf alloys or space savers you will need a spacer of 5mm to stop the wheels rubbing the uprights you will also need to get the studs replaced as the mgf users a bigger stud compared to the marina.. I got a 16 brand new studs off ebay for about 12 including postage if recall correctly.. then i got jhl to drill out and push in the new studs.. any local engineering shop could do that .. but even including postage JHL was cheaper than my local place who wanted over 100!!! i tried hard not to laugh in his face when he gave me the price.

no need for spacers on the rears in case you were wondering

as for fitting the hub caps i will like "dp" (who also posts on here and has already done it to his peugeot alloys..) drill and fit four screw/posts (as on early moggy wheels) that the hub cap will "pop" over.

I swaped out the old marina studs by tapping them out with a hammer,then pulled my new studs (rover/montego) in with the wheel nut and a stack of washers.

i thought about doing that but did not want to risk getting it wrong and destroy my marina hubs.. now you have said you did it i will go for it on the rear hubs

Don't understand why the studs need replacing ? Can you not just use sleeve nuts with the correct o/d to suit wheels - and correct thread for the studs ?

I wanted the larger diameter studs and the marina studs were U S.Back then you could find plenty of rovers in the brakers yards,so it was easy to do.

can you explain in more detail, about the screw/posts for the hubcaps? i have now got some montego steel wheels and a set of early moggy van hub caps. these dont have the M on them. i would like to fit these, thanks

So - the larger diameter studs - you just 'hauled them in' to the old smaller holes GAS - without running a drill through first ?

The marina studs are "stepped" they use the same size hole through the hub...

the studs i got were mgf ones and I had quick look at "pulling" them in myself but they did not appear to want to go in too easily. at this point i had the option of "going for it" and risk busting my hub or spending very little and money and getting it done professionaly ..
