Half floor option

Just wondering if anyone has any experiece of using the full half floor with sill inner step ??? Is it worthwhile paying that bit more for this part instead of buying three seperate parts and fitting them together. I know of course that if in the future one part starts to rust then there will be problems in replacement, but for a novice restorer like myself who likes the apparant simplicity of this part is it a good move ???????

As rust mostly starts at the joins I'd say this is a very good option.
Just protect it once it's fitted.

What three pieces does this part eliminate? And could this option be used on a 4 door as well?

Ive used these on my 2 door and traveller and reckon they are the best option. Cut the old one out, leaving about an 1' along the edge of the sill step and weld the floor to the step and while the sills off you can also weld it to the other edge of the step from undernearth. A very strong job. I would recommend bracing the car and or keeping the doors on to maintain the correct shape when this is cut away.<br>

And of cousre do one side at a time, finishing it fully before moving to the next one!

The 3 parts would be the sill step and 2 1/4 floor pans

I always use these if possible. Its a much neater job with less joins and welding where there wouldn't be originally. Only drawback is you have cut it all out at the same time, so a bracing bar across the door gaps is a good idea and make sure the door still fits before final welding.
