As a newbie, and just been looking at the What's On section, If I want to go along to some of the events listed, is it just a case of turning up on the day or, do I have to register my intention to attend somewhere.

If there is a contact name or phone number then apply for an entry form. This will ensure that you turn up at the correct place at the correct time and also that the organisers will have enough rally plaques available if applicable. Entries to rallies are usually accepted on the day but the organisers prefer advance booking.
It is still a couple of months until next season's events and more information will be published nearer the event.

If you're a Club member full details will be posted in Minor Matters. Quite a few events have reduced entrance fees if you book in advance, and your car can also get a mention in the rally programme if there is one, so there's often advantages to pre-booking.
