Toyota T50 fluid

hi folks, long time no speak, apologies!
erm, dad has just(after a year adn a half) fitted his Toyota 5 speed and tuned 1098, but...he doesn't know what fluid the gearbox needs.
does anyone know specifically what fluid it takes?

If the box is in good condition use fully synthetic 75w or 80w. If its an older box and gearchanges are a bit stiff use Dexion 3 auto trans fluid....

hmm, not sure about condition as it was a "worked fine when removed" gearbox. i'll let the old man know though.

I put a 75w80 oil in the toyota box in my midget

yeah that would be cool, not sure when im next going, busy times at work heading into december!
oh, do you know how much fluid goes in the 'box?

about 1.7 litres from memory - but it is until it dribbles out the filler hole ;-)
