Hi , having just bought a 69 Saloon which hasn't moved for 20 years(was stored in garage)i managed to get 3 brake drums unseized but am having a devil of a time getting fourth one to move.Thought winching it onto transport home would've freed it but no...
Have hit wheel with large wooden mallet, hit drum with wooden mallet and hit drum with metal headed hammer.Nothing.Have cut handbrake cable in readiness.
Any ideas?Think all drums will need replaceing anyway, but would like to have it a little more mobile than it is at present whilst i work on it.
Cheers in advance
Dean

Remove wheel and squirt plus gas , WD40 or whatever through the adjuster hole and leave to soak in. It will ruin the linings but what have you got to loose?
Remove the brake pipe, this may allow any pressure in the system to escape. Try securing a bar between a couple of wheel studs and levering the bar around.
Last resort, slice the drum in half with a disc cutter.
All random thoughts but when you are desperate anything is worth a try!
Don't discard the old drums unless they are obviously worn, they may clean up OK
