well the results are in,
starting from the front.
pot #1 =150psi
pot#2 =120psi
pot#3 =150psi
pot#4 =130psi

as for how i did the initial "test" i simply took out the plug, attached the guage and started the engine and let it run for a second or two and then turned it off. in hindesight that was completly wrong, hence the odd results.

So - #2 is a bit desperate and # 4 not much better - they may improve if you pop the head off and regrind the valves - worth a try!
