I ordered on the website - and my copy arrived in two days. It's a very handy reference - with excellent broken down pictures of all the assemblies. Well worth having beside the Workshop Manual! If you order on line - it's free (in UK). If you ask for it when placing an order for parts - YOU will pay for the postage of it - along with your parts!

I just happened to make the comment as it came about the same time as the data selling scam with the mobile phone company. Sorry if you took offence, but I always look at things from more than one perspective.

My copy has arrived in the post this morning, and as a newbie to classic car ownership, it being a morris minor I think it is a valuable tool in helping a novice understand parts and where they are situated on the car.bmcecosse wrote:I ordered on the website - and my copy arrived in two days. Until now I have always let the garage look after my cars, but have decided after getting my minor I am going to do a lot of the work myself, just to get to know it a bit better and any information especially free printed material can only be of help.
I would definitely recommend novices to order the catalogue, just for the information alone so they can familiarise themselves with the parts etc.

The catalogue is fine as are several others (some I suspect long out of print) just shop around for prices. The cheapest is not necessarily the best but some of Moss's prices (whether they include vat or not) are for the identical part from the same manufacturer at hugely inflated prices - buyer beware!

The old Sprite & Midget, B, C & V8 Centre catalogues were really useful and were in many ways like a works parts list. I still have some for the Midget and the V8...I just tend to buy elsewhere. I had something through from then this morning, mentioning Minor parts (If they looked at what I buy off them, they'd give up), so I may send off for it - I expect it'll use BMC part numbers.

Don't worry Bill,
I was only pulling BM's chain.
Seriously though copyright, PLR's and royalties are very important tools for those who may depend on them for their wages. When I was illustrating the PLR's (public lending rights) added considerably to my income, as I earned 35pence every time someone lent my book from the library, times this by about 30-40 books and its a useful sum. Royalities work in a similar way and copyright is normally a long term earner or simply good protection to guard against the unscrupulous.
