Well done - how far did you have to go to get Billy? Is he still Billy or do you have another name now?

Might be a silly question but how do I adjust the wing mirrors on the car? (didn't have any on Tim). They need to move inwards but they're spring loaded and move back to where they were:roll:

Also the heater - it's different to the round smiths one I had in Tim - Is it pull the knob out for cold or heat?

If it's a 1098 heater there's a slide lever that goes from off to screen to car, and then underneath the heater there a black toggle switch that turns on the blower on. The wing mirrors sound like the Desmo swingback kind, you adjust them by gentally rotating the heads.

I'll try and adjust them tomorrow, I couldn't see anything worth while out of them on the way home. I'm used to not having any but since they're on the car may as well use them.

I had them on the wings - but couldn't seen anything through them. I've got wing mirrors fitted onto the stainless steel triangle on the doorframe. Great for overtaking and lane changing.

There's mirrors on the wings on both sides of the car and a mirror on the Driver's door.

Often wing mirrors are not to great, to adjust some types you slacken the nut at the back and swivel the bezel in front of it to alter the position and angle.

They look like the same mirrors as mine Matt - Desmo Boomerangs - so as Kevin says you will need to undo the nut at the back to adjust them. However they don't adjust much, and you'll probably find that you still won't be able to see out of them :-? Due to where they are positioned mine are pretty useless, regardless of the type of glass in them. I've even raised the drivers seat but it hasn't helped. I got some Desmo mirror extension arms from e-bay but haven't got round to fitting them yet. Aside from changing the positioning, which will leave you with holes in the wings, you might just have to accept that your mirrors are ornamental rather than useful. As Lou says, if you want increased visibility go for the door mirrors, or just go without as you did with Tim and drive accordingly.
