Arthur - it's an old car, and Arthur sounds like an old mans name.

My dad's previous were called Doris (trav) and Brian (saloon).
Have now joined the 'cool kids' at http://www.morrisminorowners.co.uk

fipu54, welcome to the club :) Nice pickup :)

Might be worth reading the "new member" thread at the top of the general discussion page. Also worth putting your location in your profile ;)

I'll have to start thinking of new names when I get my new car. Hope can all give me some ideas :D

I've just bought a 1952 MM Convertible project and it is known at the moment as 'The Shed'.

It does say Morris Minor on the bonnet so I may end up calling it that. 8)

The first minor I had I named her Auntie Mable, after Lynda Baron who played Nurse Gladys Emmanuel on Open all hours,And she had a Morris Minor in the show,She also Played "Auntie Mable" in a childrens tv show called Come Outside,Hence calling her Auntie Mable,

I now have my 2nd Minor and she is now called Gladys!
(Did you see what I did there, did ya)

Was thinking of calling her Granville,But I dont think she would have liked that, and probably given her a complex!

Well so far I have owned seven and have never had the urge to give any of them names. (although I have regularly called them names!)

Doreen, named after the previous owners Grandmother. Other drivers tend to behave towards her politely, as if she is an elderly lady, especially in the morning rush hour.

Apart from 4x4's. Driven by acidic blond mums.

Calm, calm, calm...
