Help needed in Felixstowe

I am urgently in need of some help getting my Morris fixed up so that it can be driven for an MOT. I took it on the Mongol Rally this year (http://www.morristomongolia.com) and it has just arrived back in the UK in a shipping container. However, the front shock mount has sheered and the car cannot be driven. Does anyone know if there are any classic car garages in Felixstowe or nearby that would be able to patch her up so that I can get her back home for some tlc and probably a full restoration.

With that in mind, if anyone has a trailer that I could borrow for the day on the 27th of November, I should be extremely grateful - It cost over £2000 to bring the car back and I am but a poor student...

Do you mean the upper mounting where the 4 bolts attach to the bulkhead.
Sorry but I dont know anywhere up that way, it may be an idea to contact the local branch to see if they can offer some advice.

Am I right in thinking that, maybe, the car parked on your bonnet caused the slight failure of the shock absorber mount ?

I'm sure there is something in the Workshop manual about not leaving vehicles over 750kg on the bonnet for long periods ;)

Nah, if you look closely the polo is actually tied to the celling and resting on that wooden beam - there is about an inch between it an the bonnet of the Morris. Very glad it didn't all come crashing down whilst at sea...!<br><br>
