Hi Mikey,
I'm wondering if that car might be connected to family friends from Aberdeen. They were all interested in old vehicles, the daughter spent a fair bit of time in Czech (last time I met her she had an A35 and a Hudson Terraplane project), and the father, as a young man, had owned a pre-war Minor called Stanley (so it is a family name).
