Well - that shell is badly worn - hard to tell about the crank, it's certainly not deeply scored although there are some marks - can you feel any ridge at the black line - if you scrape your finger nail across ? How about a big-end bearing picture(s) - they are often more 'telling'!
While in/about the engine - better whip the oil filter casing off - and see if the plate and spring are still there - under the paper cartridge! The wear on that shell suggests the oil may not be getting filtered. If you do take the engine out - you should also fit a new oil pump.

You have a lot less sludge in your engine than I had.
Could be that yours used better quality oil or did fewer short journeys.
The surface of your shells look a little less coppery than mine, maybe there are still some traces of lead.
