Re Disc Brakes

Post by mstevens »

Hi I am thinking of putting disc brakes on my Minor with a brake servo. What I want to know do you just use the servo on front brakes or front and rear brakes.
Thanks for any help give.

I'd servo all four brakes.

Servo all 4 its quite an easy conversion but before you buy a kit look at the post about wheels fouling the caliper. You may need spacers. Some kits appear to be better than others

Substitute 'appear' for 'are undeniably'. 8)

Must have prodigous power output (I suppose) - to warrant disc brakes and servo!

Oh, dunno.

Kind of cool, discs all round. I had a Fiat 125, which was 1500cc only.....my first car that had them. They just looked good. And felt even better!

I would imagine discs would provide adequate braking when the car is loaded up to the windows with Wolseley brakes bound for the car tip..sorry, mart.

Rear disc brakes are just a pest - my Meriva has them - they rust up they are used so little - so far I've had to renew both discs and pads. The fronts - just 2 sets of pads so far.
I'll happily take all the W brakes anyone wants rid of!
