you wont need the bit what it on the manifold for the throttle cable as it is on the carb sits on with the carb

No difference to the performance other than possibly smoother running and better economy. It has the same diameter throat as the H2 so in theory the same performance.
If you want more performance you need to go for a bigger carb or resort to some engine tuning work.

ive heared of a mini place in southam who deals with rebuilding carbs and have decided on that.
and ive escaped a beating bmc!!!!

Don't get ripped off - they don't usually need any 'rebuilding' - just a good cleaning with 'alloy wheel cleaner' spray from Poundland! You are not far from Napton at Southam............. Home of JLH!
