Ah, thanks Lou!

I don't think I'll be able to make it in the minor, I'll maybe pop over in the DeLorean.

I was a bit disappointed. Badly managed car parking, so too long to get parked and too far to walk, then a ridiculously long snaking queue to get through the doors. Only four people taking money at two desks.

One's view of an autojumble depends very much on whether one gets the tat of one's dreams (I didn't, but I did encounter a stallholder who had two Lucas reversing lights marked at quite different prices, and when I picked them up decided he'd re-price the cheaper one at the higher price. No sale.) The usual standard tool stands were there, selling identical stuff, but very few selling secondhand garage equipment. The club stands were generally uninspiring - perhaps they're saving their efforts for the NEC show in November, which costs about the price of a Morris Minor to park and get in.

A big improvement at Stoneleigh would be if parking could be set aside for "classics" (fsvo "classic"). Quite a few people turned up in nice cars, but scattered over half of Warwickshire they were difficult to find.

And it clashed with Newark, just like the next Newark and the NEC show clash. Newark's fault, I suggest, since Stoneleigh is always on the day the clocks go back. What a good job Ken and Lyn, the paint people, opted for Stoneleigh, or I'd have come home with only a wiper blade, a box of bulbs, and a box of non-Marigold gloves.

Must agree Kevin and Tony
But Ken and Lyn's paint stand was worth a visit and that queue was something else
Maybe the autojumble has had it's day but not a bad day out

I think ebay maybe killing off the auto jumble, most of the stands were the same as the mg show there a few months ago, going to footman james show week saturday hopefully it will be better :-?

I was on the Triumph Dolomite Club stand helping to replace the front end and some doors on a Vermillion coloured Sprint. Lots of hard work went into that and we managed to get second prize. Loads of people showing an interest and asking questions. Gotta be a good thing. The stalls were disappointing though, loads of tools but not much else.
