thats about 1/5 of the yard basically divided into 3 or 4 areas/sections. right the way back to the 20s and 30s i guess. the really old stuff is brown there are mountains of parts and glass all over the place. there was a NZ movie of the same name set around this area. this scrap yard smack bangin the middle of a national park. that is an active volcano in the background and also our ski field :)

. i went to a car museam in napier and the guy had at least 20 or 30 mint moriss minors and 3 or 4 travelerrs all in pretty mint condition. apparently he wont part with anything( i begged for a body shell he had that had less rust them mine). hes got at least 300 vintage cars and there is a quite a few places in new zealand like this. i could pick one up in reasonable condition for a grand or so.(kinda wish i did get a better one now as ill end up spending that repairing mine)

in napier where i live there is a population of about 30,000 but lots and lots of vintage cars on the . because napier was destroyed in an earthquake in the 30s and rebuilt in the style of art deco. so there are art deco festivals here and all the shops are in this style so naturaly lots of people own vintage cars
