vauxhall viva 13 inch wheels
i heard in several places that 13 inch viva wheels would fit the minor, having the correct (4 inch) stud spacing. however, having got hold of some (thankfully extremely cheaply!) i've found that the centre cut out wont clear the hub! any ideas? i've seen minors with viva wheels on, so i know it must be a simple explanation!

cheers
so you think with a decent file it will fit? i'm worried about weakening the wheel. it would need about 1mm or less taken off the inside flange to clear. good idea or bad idea?

That does not sound a very good engineering solution, and how can you be sure what you remove it in the right amounts in the right place, I would have thought a lathe would be required for this.so you think with a decent file it will fit?
Cheers

I tried this a few years ago ,trying to fit steel wheels of unknown origin onto an A40 . It appeared only a small amount was reqd. to be removed ,but after I had messed around for ages, the wheel was dangerously thin around the lip of the hole(oo er) .I imagined the wheel cracking from the centre out,so I gave up ! One anwer would poss. be a thin spacer ,but I don't like them either !
