Ford vented Disks rubbing against wheel!

Post by Morrisito »

Hi there,

I recently bought a disk brake kit from bull motif and now tryin to fit them but the wheels i've got don't clear the callipers.

Does anyone know what wheels i need that will sit happily?

Thanks for your time

Ask Bull! Surely they told you if they would fit standard wheels - or do you need Ford wheels ?

Bully sell both the OB kit and ours. I'd be iinterested in hearing if the problem is with ours.
If you are using Minor steels then the OB kit suggests grinding back the caliper. (not good engineering) our kit includes a 4mm spacer (with JLH lasered in it to cure this problem), (mainly with the early Series 11 wheels) Our hubs also have JLH Motorsport and the date of manufacture machined into the end of the hub, should you need to know for identification.
Our kit will accept 13" rims too , should you have downsized.

The Owen Burton kits are now sold as ESM's, having bought out MMC Bath, which are then sold throughout the trade. The distinguishing feature is that they have aluminium hubs rather than our steel ones.
Hope this helps :D

Yes, it would be the best solution in my opinion. Are you using standard wheels ?

But - there are known 'snags' with the aluminium hubs!
