Post by sidsmith »

:) Hi all, can anyone recommend something for polishing a very very feint scratch on my windscreen. It is only noticeable when the screen is dirty
cheers.

I have done this using Brasso. It's hard work!

Jeweller's Rouge - is RUST! It's iron oxide powder. It will turn the scratch into an opaque blob - which will then take even longer to polish out with Brasso!

Funny, you seem to be recommending using it in the attached link :-?

Yes - for a severe scratch - it rubs it down reasonably quickly - but leaves the opaque mark. This then needs tedious rubbing away with Brasso etc. It's worth trying the Brasso first! Been there and done that!
