Scale model? I doubt i'd be able to afford a full size kit for mine - though that would be amazing!

You can buy the "shells" for a scale model (1/12) and then these need to be fitted onto an existing remote control base. The top bit is usuall about £10+ but the lower part can prove expensive if you have to buy new. A trawl on fleabay can sometimes find them.

I'd love a Baja Bug RC - all the fun of the real Baja without spending thousands of pounds on the entry fee!

I have a few old bases left over from when we used to get RC rally cars - Dad would go to LR shows and return with them, only to be promptly destroyed by my brother's terrible curb-avoidance skills. They just need the old shells removed. Hrmm.. I might buy a shell then.

I have this one that has a fibreglass body. The shell was bought off this forum last year and i bought an 1/8th scale buggy off ebay to use as the base. The car is 600mm (or 2 foot in old money!) long overall :D
It has a custom built chassis plate and stainless steel bumpers that i made and polished to look like chrome! 8)
Its not finished yet, but has had a good thrashing around and the last time i think i used it was at the National rally this year! :D 8)
Image

Image

Image
Try these people, they make Minor shells, incl Traveller, for 1/12 Mardave rc cars
You have to paint them yourself though.
Mardave are brilliant rc cars but built for indoor racing, that is, no suspension.
