Just get a temperature sender from any motor factors (for a 1.0 Metro or Mini) then get a temp gauge from a scrap Mini or eBay and wire it up!

The temp sender lives just above the engine number screwed into the side of the cylinder head, as can be seen in this picture:

Take a live from the voltage stabiliser on the back of the speedo to one side of the gauge and connect the other end of the gauge to the temp sender on the head.

BrixtonMorris appears to have a few.... Waiting for him to log on to get my hands on one myself!

Where abouts are you in Monmouth? I used to go there a lot as a kid, stay on a farm. Vine Tree pub ring any bells? Actually the landlord has moved to one called the Rose & Crown I believe...

Cheers Brixton. Look forward to hearing from you! There's no rush.. (as long as it doesn't overheat tomorrow!!) Just thought it would be a good idea before the weather really gets hot!

Thanks for the info. I don't know how much Brixton morris wants for them ? The Vine Tree is now 'Grasshoppers ' . Very popular for many reasons !!! MMM!! Don't know the landlord at Rose and Crown. I live in the same town as the old Vine Tree Regards  Arfron
