Hi, having just put my Moggie on the road after a full restoration, I am looking for advice on whether it is normal to hear the fuel pump clicking whilst driving. I'm told by a friend who had a Moggie back in the 70's that it is normal to hear the pump in the cab. Before starting, after the initial clicking when the carb is filling up, the pump is silent so I'm suposing that there is not a fuel leak post pump or the pump is not sucking air. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Rich
I heard mine doing the machine gun thing due to a faulty fuelgauge this summer on a French motorway.Still €125 means I will always carry a can from now on Dohhhh!
Thanks everybody. Seems my friend was right, the pump can be heard ticking when driving. My wife will be driving the Moggie so just wanted to pre empt any concerns she may have. Thanks again Rich
