Exhaust/inlet manifold

Post by LordAnthony »

Hi all,

Does anyone know if a combined inlet/exhaust manifold from a 1275cc 1992 mini would fit a 1275cc sprite engine?

I know that separate ones would be better for performance but I'm not too bothered about that sort of thing really.

It will fit the engine - but it will either have twin exhaust outlets - or one big one (depending on source) - so you will have 'fun' making up a system to fit the manifold!

It's just got the one exhaust outlet - I take it this will be too big for my poor exhaust then?

Probably too big for a standard Minor exhaust . It is a better manifold - but you would need the 'big bore' exhaust to match to it.

There is a considerable power advantage by going for an inlet manifold that is NOT part of the exhaust! MG MEtro inlet (or one of it's many copies) is the one to go for.
