i certainly have seen the 97 amp in use, made a heck of pop when i turned the lights on (not my car, one i was going to buy)

I recently saw a picture of a Harley Davidson with a 2-way domestic fuse unit fitted with trips not fuses.
You can actually get these for automotive applications but blade fuse style not ye olde glass tube type.
