Mot Passed

I went for MOT today with the green one and it passed, HAPPY DAYS :D :D

I knew it would, new tyres all round, a good grease up, oil seal in the back axle and the brakes all adjusted up, but it nice to get the bit of paper all the same.

Im still looking for a decent front seat cover for it if anyone has one, two tone green and cream.<br>Image<br>

Good work! Mine passed a few months ago although this was a retest - had to replace both back wheel cylinders but other than that is was well! Good luck to Chris for his MOT tomorrow!

Thankfully yes it did, with flying colours. Although it had required a spot of welding by Chertsey Minors a few days before, however that was well within my annual £400 budget!

As usual I had the advisory of 'a light misting of oil on the rear shock absorbers'. The same could be said of a large percentage of the floorpan! :lol:

Now that is cheap motoring!
I've calculated the cost over 10 years of Minor ownership and 27,000 miles as roughly £4,000 which includes doing my own servicing and the brakes, plus some welding and a gearbox change. Some people spend that kind of money in a few seconds when they drive their new car away from the showroom!

Of course I've also saved over £1,100 on car tax in that time - which is nice. 8)
