Can I buy?

Post by Psiteep »

Dear ALL,
The pest again.
I have wired up the semaphore indicators and there is power to both, but the nearside one will not work, the off-side one does, it is excellent. Can I buy a semaphore indicator through the Club please?

Mike and others, I dollowed your instructions carefully and as I have a volt meter I checked to make sure that there was power getting to the thing, there is.

Hope yo can help,
Rob/Psiteep

You could try Club Spares although I'm not certain Bryan has any at the moment contact numbers in MM. Any Morris supplier listed in Minor Matters should be able to help you though

If you are an MMOC member you'll find the contact details for Club Spares in Minor Matters magazine but you could also just post a message in the "wanted" section of this forum. :D

Before you buy a new trafficator, move it by hand first.

Everytime I have not used the car for a while one of mine sticks a little, but once operated by hand it works fine...

Apply a light smear of oil to the piston and with the trafficator switched on give it some gentle assistance to lift. You will be able to feel if it is trying to work. If it does work, sit and flick the switch on and off for a couple of minutes and it should improve. Make sure that you have lined it up in the slot and tightened the screws correctly so that it lifts freely. You may find that when you are driving the wind resistance will cause it to stick and it may need further adjustment
