New (strengthened )Half Shafts.............
I had another half shaft go on the van this weekend......the last one went a couple of years ago (the opposite side )...and I do use the van for work on a daily basis so maybe thats just normal wear and tear...but I have heard about the new stronger ones and was wondering what the view is on these .....are they alot better- and worth the extra cost.....

I don't see the need for extra expense if everything is standard (engine / gearbox etc) the regular driveshafts should be fine. The "problem" with extra hard shafts is that the diff unit becomes the weak link in the chain and half shafts are easier and cheaper than diffs to replace.....

Good advice from Roy - It's far easier to replace a worn halfshaft than a broken one.
I've never had one break, but I think that's only luck.
