Losing the Horn!
I was heaving the moggy up a steep, twisty, high-banked single-track country lane at the weekend and keen to alert any invisible oncoming traffic of my presence, but the horn just wouldn't work. Once back on level ground normal service resumed. Any ideas why this problem?

Check that the horn is still working by connecting it directly to the battery. If the sound is not clear it can be altered by adjusting the small screw in the centre.
If the horn is working then check the condition of the wires and any connections. Also check the horn push contacts Note that the horn is live directly from the fuse and is earthed by the horn push. Series MMs and IIs have a contact ring on the steering column behind the support bracket.
