Dear Dan,
We are as daft about Morris's as you are. Any I think you know why we wer so really glad to get this one. Club-wise, we are pretty green. What is T&C for example.

Have filled in the profile details, but we live in a village called Penisarwaun, name of house Tyddyn Difyr.

We are looking forward to running meeting up with other Morris owners. Can't go far afield as my wife's mother lives with us. She is a hundred years old and very frail. But we know there are Vintage, Veteran, Classic and what seems a newish group called Historic.

I am sure we will make erros, but in good manners. "Psiteep", my username is because I was a Psychologist and looked after 1. The kids no on e wanted: 2. where the kides you, not the other way round :) and dealing with parents who did not want to take responsibily. Sitting, with their child - parent chain smoking - complaing about the child's smokiung at age 11. They always things like. "I don't where she gets the habit from."

Yours
Psiteep

Hi Robert,

Welcome to the forum! Its always nice to get a bit of bckground on our members (we are, afterall, a friendly bunch here!) Sounds like you have quite a difficult (but rewarding?) Job.

T&C is a generic abbreviation for Terms and Conditions (the ones you have to click "agree" to before coming to the forum)

Hi Guys

Post by dan2702 »

Just thought I'd post a little 'Hello' message to introduce myself.

My name is Dan and I'm 21. I live near Birmingham in the West Midlands.

I will be 100% honest and say I have absoultely NO knowledge of cars of any kind, even though I've been driving for 3 years now! But thankfully my dad is a mechanic!

Until a few months ago, I'm ashamed to say, I had no idea what a Morris Minor was! I grew up longing for a classic VW Beetle and always said I would have one...until I clapped eyes on a Morris!

I've jumped in with both feet because I am currently on a mission to buy my friends Moggie and give him a new lease of life...I can't wait!

I'm so glad I found this forum, everyone seems so friendly and more than happy to help (which is going to be a great comfort for me). All I can do is apologise in advance if I ask stupid questions :P

I can't wait to buy my Morris and get pictures up on here of his tranformation! Wish me luck!

Take Care All

Hi Dan
Like you up until a few weeks ago I knew nothing about Morris Minors except my dad had one when I was a kid and now I'm 53.
I bought my first Moggy abot 2 weeks ago :D and now in the process of restoring her. The other members on this site are great for answering any questions you may have however small which has given me the confidence to tackle jobs I would normally leave to the garage.
Good Luck and Happy motoring
Peter :D

I am happy to announce that I am now the proud owner of a 1967 Morris 1000. I will be uploading pictures very soon...to my surprise she is in very good condition, despite nearly everything on her being original. I've never had so much fun driving!

I'm Steph, 21 and living in Leeds as a student!

I've got a Trafalgar Blue 1969 2 door called Peggy that I bought from Charles Wares MM Centre in Bristol in July.

Absolutely love her, even though she is driving me up the wall at the moment with all her problems!

Oh really :(

I understand that you aren't allowed to say negative things, but I think my general consensus would be "some warranties aren't what they should be"

I'm just lucky I've just fallen on my feet and found somebody local who will do a really good job for an incredibly low price!
