Carb Float Chamber

Cleaned the float chamber out on the carb today. Can't believe how much crud was in the bottom of there, must have been almost an inch of it. :o

Cleaned it out and the car seems to running a lot better for it :D

Did you spray carb cleaner into the main jet?
So much muck had got into mine it was severely affecting the performance.

Never had any to hand :( I do plan on doing it soon as I can get to somewhere like Wilkos and pick up some cheap :lol:

Not seen it in 'Wilkos' - we finally have a branch up here! But most Poundshops will have it - but not Poundland!

I expect WD40 would do.
Anything liquid in an aerosol with a straw that won't do any damage to the carb really.
I'd suggest an air duster but something with liquid should stir up the silt better.
