Hey, Carlo! That lowlight you sold me has a rust hole!
OK, maybe not bad for an unrestored 1949 and I've not found any other spots. I just removed the wing and wire brushed the area.

Completely rotten - but then I would take it as a present - just to help you getting rid of it

I've been offered a restored 1949 MM that basically just needs the engine and trim refitting. What should I do?

Well if you will remove the kangaroo poo that has been protecting it all these years what do you expect!

It's all downhill once the rot has started.
Tell you what, I'll give you a tenner for it and I'm cutting me own throat

I had the kick plates off the '52 saloon, too. Shame they didn't spend an extra tuppence and paint the lot!

Shocking, only 57 years old and I can see traces of corrosion.

It is strange to think that people wouldn't buy the car because the paint was faded and the seats grained with 60 years of dirt.
There can't be that many unwelded cars left, can there? Anyone else driving one?
(PS Might be for sale, soon)

I agree, I'd send the car back to cowley! Tell 'em where to stick it.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! The saloon! I've been using the '52 saloon again since the Merc is playing up. Dashboard electrics not working.
Much more reliable but about 300 bhp down on the Merc.<br>

PS Thanks to Russell for this wonderful picture. I'm going to get it printed onto canvas at Tesco and framed. A Mog in its' natural environment!
