Rusty Lowlight

Post by RobThomas »

I've just removed the left wing on my lowlight and found a rust hole. It has never been welded or restored since it was built in 1949. I poked hard with a screwdriver but I can't get the hole any bigger than that!

Is this rust hole terminal or should I save the car from the scrapman?

Definitely terminal - there's no hope for it. I'll come and take it off your hands!!

Hmn...

Much more worrying - some of the original paint appears to have flaked off

Are you sure... looks like a complete catastrophic failure to me. The amount of body twist experienced from this level of rot.. is ... is.... insurmountable!
