I'm trying to avoid it. Takes me hours to get to work and back again.

I work at the Rolls Royce factroy and live the other side of the circuit. Will be cycling this year.

A few years ago I used to work in the slightly less glamorous council workshops down the road .we were right under a flightpath so spent the day watching the spitfires etc, oh and some work of course  8)

As long as Bluebell is fixed in time after a big white van drove into the back of her, I shall be going on the Saturday and hopefully parking in the pre'66 car park.

I usually go on the Sunday but it's clashing with the Kent Branches Hop this year (they normally have their rally at the beginning of September) and I never miss that so got a very packed weekend coming up!

Johnathon, are you wearing a period white overall and flat cap? Lots of people did the two occasions I have been.

Nah , wear that everyday, so thought I'd just go in jeans and Tee shirt :D (hope we don't clash)

Last visit I was the squire. the previous an RAF officer. Dressing up isn't really my thing but for this event I make an exception. It's simply a must-do. Not that i'll eb there this time

My first time there this year.

Fabulous day out and to be recommended, but take a picnic - refreshment prices are horrific. (The Earl of March is unlikely to go broke anytime soon!)

Lots of other Minors there too - I nearly wore out the camera.

:D

£107 for 3 days is quite reasonable considering what is on offer but £125 for 4 people camping for 4 nights put me off as I wanted 2 nights camping for 1 person which would work out at £62.50 per night. A hotel would be cheaper if the were not all booked up.
There is always next year if I plan ahead.
Anyway there is a branch drive near Oxford tomorrow and I have polished my Series MM ready
