Filming Heartbeat

Post by moggie-tom »

There are some interesting photos of a minor on this website under the section named 'action scenes' and at the very bottom of the page.

Maybe not for the faint hearted

There was also an episode where 'vernon Scribbs' had a modified minor which he bought to race. That went up in flames :(

I really should get out more

Most of the people my age would never dream of watching Hearbeat... then again they'd never dream of owning a minor

I always watch it, even the repeats everyday on ITV3. I managed to get my parents to take a diversion when we were on holiday so we could go to Goathland (Aidensfield) :)

Certainly get some stick about it, once when I was down the pub with some mates I went home to watch Heartbeat then went back out

Oh and it's Scripps

R.I.P Barry Morris, you may have been my first Moggy but you won't be my last.

I'd watch it, but the eps I've seen all involved a classic getting mangled in some way. A Mk1 Mini wrapped around a tree and a Vauxhall Victor crashed down a hill spring to mind.

there are some closeup pics of this car on the IMCDB and it does look rusty though.

I rather like it (As you might guess from my name). I am sometimes amused by some of the obvious gaps in the writers' knowledge of classic cars - like when the Anglia Police car is able to mix it with things like Lotus Cortinas or Mini Coopers  .

I wish my namesake would get some new wood!!

Yeh how they keep up on a 125 bike. I wasn't sure if your name was a reference to heartbeat or if it was your real name, now I know :)

There was one episode where Alf had a H-reg car (think it was a Morris 1100) and it wouldn't start, he said it was because it's an old banger although it would have been brand new!
