Newbie checking in....

Post by Roli »

Hello
Being new on this site I thought I'd come and say hi and introduce myself.
I'm Roli (Caroline on Sundays, and if I've been naughty)
I grew up bouncing about in the back of a much loved black 1969 traveller, who was sadly sold on to someone with the time to restore her a few years ago. Before that though, she was my (exceptionally cool) first car and ever since I had to grow up, move out, hand back the keys and get my own car 14 years ago, I have dreamed of getting another one. That dream was finally realised this morning when I hauled my boring Ford Fiesta up to Birmingham to trade it in for Boris, a 1971 Blue Traveller.
I have two young sons, the younger of whom has already announced "I love blue car. I drive blue car when I bigger". I am hoping to totally indoctrinate them in the ways of the moggy and with any luck, Boris might even be their first car too.
Hope to get to know you lot as time goes by

Welcome! Lovely looking traveller. Funnily enough I bought my last Minor after it had been traded in for a Fiesta so nice to see someone doing it the other way :D You've come to the right place for friendly help and advice so any problems, just post.

Lou

Hi, Looks a fine example! I am sure you will be very happy together!
This is a tremendous site - you will find questions answered on absoluely anything.
I learnt to drive in mine back in 1969/70 - and I still have it!

Welcome to the forum!

Quick question, does the chassis number have an F at the end? All will become apparent

If you take a look at this thread you'll see why Dan wanted to know. The later travellers were built at Adderley Park and have an F at the end of the chassis number.

Welcome aboard, lovely looking Moggie. And I'm sure you're not naughty that often, Moggie owners never are...

That'll be easy, morris minors are incredibly addictive and contageous, you'll have 2 or 3 of them in no time! :)

Oh, and welcome to the forum!
