Rear seat belts for convertible

Post by KirstMin »

Hi All,

Been away for a while and the moggie has been garaged… the reason being related to this question… Having made it though the first 7 months of fatherhood I am back on the case and keen to get the little’un ‘onboard’!

I’ve been on the phone to Bull motif and asked about rear seat belts so I can secure the baby seat. They say the inertia ones CAN NOT be fitted to a convertible – I have to fit the 3 point static ones:

Has anyone else got experience of fitting rear seat belts to a convertible? Is there any way of fitting the inertia ones or should I go for the static ones?

Thanks all

:D

Just in case anyone else is going to do this I thought I'd mention that you can buy rear inertia seatbelts for a convertible and fit the reels in the boot compartment. Morris Minor centre Bath have appropriate parts should you need them.

Also thanks to Peetee for the help :)

They are covering themselves against liability as it would be possible that the folded hood would rest on top and could foul the mechanism.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
