unknown switch

whilst recently attacking my heater matrix, i noticed a small black slider switch on the underside of the dash (just below and to the right of the choke) i flicked it around and nothing happened, even with the ignition on.

Whats it for?

ah, why on earth would you want to turn the speedo backlight off? oh well, that means ill have to fix it then as it dosent do anything atm

to save power when parked - used to leave your PARK lights on (funny that)
