I have a 66 traveller. The seat belt anchorage on the door piller is very high and strangling my wife. That maybe a good thing you will say but she is still alive and complaining!. Anyone know if there is a way of adjusting this [lowerer it] so I can get some peace?
Try an elastic band between the shoulder strap and the lap strap. In the event of an accident, The force of moving forward will break the band. Might hurt a bit as the person takes up the slack.
if you go to halfords you can get a clip that hangs on thetop bolt on the door piller.it has a cam ,ehich if you pull the belt so it does not hurt your neck apply the cam and you are away,i think its called break away they do work wall
We had same prob with my wife's traveller, standard Securon seat belts are ok for saloons but not travellers, in my experience they are too short. I got round the problem by fitting a seat belt extender. There are two types, one extends the lap belt the other extends the belt where it joins the automatic reel. Good luck.

Then you can loop the belt round her neck and do it properly
My Traveller has two mounting points on the pillar for the belt -a high one and a low one. Dunno if this was standard - or a mod by PO. The high one suits me ok - and the low one suits my dearest. Don't think there is enough belt to wrap it round her neck ..... but maybe worth a try.
